The Thornton Economic Opportunity Task Force offers Thornton primary employers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the City's long-term economic development strategy. The kick-off meeting of the Thornton Economic Opportunity Task Force was a joint meeting with Thornton City Council members on February 16th at Analytica Group in Thornton. During this meeting, employers and elected leadership were educated about the City's industry cluster analysis process and asked to provide critical feedback and identify community goals, as well as conduct a community SWOT analysis from an existing business perspective. The next Economic Opportunity Task Force meeting will be held in the second quarter and will be an opportunity for existing primary employer businesses to begin developing some meaningful policy recommendations around local government support for existing businesses.
